Raph Koster of Areae announced his plans within plans in the form of Metaplace.

Koster has a great following in the game world, I am one of many, many fans. Metaplace merges the web with games, platforms with platforms and reduces the complexity of online gatherings. This one is a wee bit hard to explain since it will change the way we use the web and interact with others.
